Temporary Traffic
Arrangement
2019 HKT Hong Kong E-Prix will be held in Hong Kong on March 9 and 10 2019 (Saturday & Sunday). The race will start in Admiralty and pass various landmarks.
Special traffic arrangement will be implemented in the vicinity of the Central Harbourfront area starting from 1:15am on Mar 9 to 5:15am on March 11. Appropriate traffic signs will be erected on site to guide motorists and pedestrians.

1:15am on 9 Mar 2019 to 5:15am on 10 Mar 2019
- Central Exit of Central-Wan Chai Bypass westbound will be temporarily closed. Motorists on Tsing Fung Street (until 05:15 11th March 2019) or Island East Corridor heading to Central and Sheung Wan are advised to use at-grade carriageway, i.e. Gloucester Road, Harcourt Road and Connaught Road Central.
- Man Kat Street eastbound at-grade Road heading to the entrance of Central Wan Chai Bypass will be temporarily closed. Motorists heading to Wan Chan and North Point are advised to use at-grade carriageway, i.e. Connaught Road Central, Harcourt Road and Gloucester Road.
1:15am on 9 Mar 2019 to 5:15am on 11 Mar 2019
- Airport Express Hong Kong Station Exit of Central Wan Chai Bypass will be temporarily closed from 01:15am 9th March 2019 to 05:15 11th March 2019. Motorists on Tsing Fung Street or Island East Corridor heading to Central and Sheung Wan are advised to use at-grade carriageway, i.e. Gloucester Road, Harcourt Road and Connaught Road Central.
- Motorists from Connaught Road Central Flyover heading to Central will leave P2 road exit of Central-Wan Chai Bypass and use Fleming Road, Harbour Road, Fenwick Pier Street and Fenwick Pier Street Flyover to Central.
Traffic Diversion in the vicinity of Central
- Kong Chung Lane and the junction of Man Kat Street/Man Cheung Street eastbound will be closed to general traffic. Vehicles with length equal to or below 11m heading for IFC or Airport Express Carpark from Man Kat Street will be diverted via Connaught Road Central eastbound, Man Yiu Street northbound, Man Cheung Street westbound, U-turn to Man Cheung Street eastbound, Man Yiu Street northbound and Finance Street.
- Connaught Road Central Flyover to Man Po Street exit will be temporarily closed. Eastbound vehicles cannot proceed to Central via Man Po Street, Yiu Sing Street, Man Yiu Street and Edinburgh Place. Motorists are advised to use at-grade carriageway, i.e. Connuaght Road West and Connaught Road Central.
- Vehicles over 7m (except buses) are prohibited to enter Central Ferry Pier via Man Kwong Street.
1:15am on 9 Mar 2019 to 5:15am on 11 Mar 2019
- Motorists heading to Pok Fu Lam via Western Harbour Crossing are advised to use Shek Tong Tsui Exit, and use Connaught Road West, Ka On Street, Des Voeux Road West, Centre Street, Connaught Road West and Western Street to Pok Fu Lam.
- Motorists heading to Sai Ying Pun via Western Harbour Crossing are advised to use Shek Tong Tsui Exit, and use Connaught Road West, Ka On Street, Des Voeux Road West, Queen Street, Connaught Road West and Eastern Street to Sai Ying Pun.
