At 10.00am on 6 October, the Hong Kong Observatory indicated that it was monitoring the presence of tropical cyclone Aere in the South China Sea. The Observatory noted that the circulation of the tropical cyclone remains compact and that it only expected an impact on local weather conditions should the cyclone enter the relative proximity of Hong Kong.

The organizers of the FIA Formula E HKT Hong Kong ePrix are continuing to monitor local conditions and will follow all customary adverse weather advisories as issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

In the case that weather conditions may impact the event, public announcements will be made via all available channels.

Spectators are reminded that while umbrellas are allowed inside the venue, for safety reasons they may not be opened in the grandstand seating areas.
